The Epic 10 Year Battle for Troy

In Warriors: Legends of Troy, two great armies clash not over home and country, but for the love of a single woman. The fates of these civilizations now stand upon the razor’s edge. 3,000 years ago, a poet sang of heroes strong enough to stand alone against an army. For love, they sailed the world. For family, they made the greatest sacrifices. For honor, they stood and faced the will of gods, and fought a war which shook the earth. In the age when Zeus Almighty ruled over immortals and men, what begins as a truce between two cities quickly erupts into a massive war that will shake the very foundations of Olympus.

Gameplay:

Warriors: Legends of Troy is Hack and Slash Action-Combat game that incorporates strategic combat techniques and character leveling. An installment in game developer Tecmo Koei’s Dynasty Warriors series, action in Warriors: Legends of Troy is based in an existing cultural framework, in this case that of the legendary 10-year Bronze Age war between the Greeks and the Trojans. Events, playable characters and story background are pulled from the Greek epic poems, the Illiad and the Odyssey, as well as the later Roman retooling of the Troy story, The Aeneid. Players can choose to fight for either side in the war, playing as a variety of famous heroic characters, for example: Achilles, Oddesseus and Telamonian Ajax (Aias) for the invading Greeks, or Hektor, Paris and the Amazonian Penthesilea for the Trojans. Other characters may also be playable. Each character has his/her own temperament, warrior skills and finishing moves. Finishing moves are unleashed by filling an in-game meter, resulting in a short-lived extra burst of power, allowing for the move. Like other games rooted in the Dynasty Warriors franchise players will face masses of enemies on a regular basis using period specific weapons, in this case swords, shields, javelins, etc. Weapons, for example shields, also can and must at times be used strategically to set up enemies for optimal use of special moves. Players will have access to a variety of attacks and can string together combos for maximum damage. They will also face intervention from the gods of Olympus at times and battle bosses pulled from the pages of Greek mythology. Finally the game contains a leveling system that utilizes an in-game economy and a limited number of grid slots, allowing the player to carry items either purchased or found that increase their abilities.
